Tile Installation
Tile installation can be performed on approved substrates. LVT can be installed either glue direct or click together over plywood, OSB, cement and other like substrates. Ceramic tile can be installed over plywood or OSB with a cement board or mud bed and can be installed over concrete. VCT is glued down only.
Ceramic Tile Installation
There are various types of ceramic tile installation depending upon the substrate. We can intall any type of ceramic tile and over any type of accepted substrate. If going over plywood then we would install a cement backer board to add stability to the existing floor. If installing ceramic tile over concrete then no backer board is needed as concrete is considered a stable substrate. Floors must be clean of foreign substances and relatively flat. Some minor imperfections can be handled during the thinset application. Once the correct base is established then the actual ceramic or porcelain tile can be laid. Typically a day later grouting can commence. Once done you will have a flooring that will last a lifetime.
